We are now just FOUR days following our most recent canine first aid course in Leeds, and I've already been contacted by one of our students to tell me how she had to use her skills this morning following a dog attack which left a Spaniel's ears in a very poor state (and the owner of the Spaniel with bite wounds too!).
There is a fine line between me trying to encourage people to learn what to do BEFORE they need it, and appearing to frighten people into taking the course. The latter is never my intention. The only thing I know is that learning AFTER things have gone wrong is like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.
Well done Carly for being an absolute star today and being able to keep your head to implement all you'd been taught to help that poor lady and her dog. So very proud of you <3
I have been asked if I could put on a canine first aid course in the Malton area. This depends on how much interest there would be … please share with your friends and colleagues, and comment below if this would be useful to you.. If so, we can certainly look at putting one on. ...
